The Mercedes-Benz OM628 V8 diesel engine high-pressure fuel pump (often referred to as the CP3.110 or L110 pump) is desired as a high-flow performance upgrade for smaller inline Mercedes diesel engines (like the OM648, OM647, and OM613). It supports high-horsepower builds exceeding 400 to 450 hp by preventing fuel pressure drops under heavy load.

Why Enthusiasts Want the OM628 HPFP:
Higher Fuel Volume: Features larger internal pumping elements than stock inline pumps (such as the L90).
High-Power Builds: Supplies adequate rail pressure for modified or hybrid turbo setups targeting 400+ horsepower.
Prevents Lean/Drop Issues: Eliminates the common rail pressure drop and fuel starvation seen when pushing stock pumps past 300 hp.
